Dadar, the popular suburb of Mumbai



Dadar is an area in Mumbai situated in the heart of Mumbai that has long been the cultural center of not only for Maharashtra but for the entire Indian diaspora. Dadar is divided into East and West section separated by a railway line. Dadar railway station is one of the busiest and popular terminal. Dadar is a railway station on both Western and Central lines which makes transit point for thousands of passengers using Mumbai suburban railway station. This station is one of the most crowded in Mumbai. 
 
Dadar was known as lower Mahim as it was located on the island of Mahim. Dadar East is popularly known as Central Dadar or Dadar T.T and Dadar West is known as Dadar B.B. The whole Dadar is a popular tourists destination also as there are number of tourists destinations in and near this area. Dadar is having the popular Siddhivinayak temple, the most visited temple in Mumbai city. Dadar vegetable market is the heart of the city. This huge market is responsible for distributing vegetables in all over Mumbai. You can get anything you want in Dadar.
